Due to the high volume of enquires and rush for registration for the Blue IQ City2City Ultra Marathon, the organisers of the race have decided to keep certain registration points openbeyond the extended closing date of 02 September to cater for last minute entries. The Blue IQ City2City race, takes place on Sunday, 7th September, 2008 and is Africa’s richest race with a prize purse of over R1.3 million.

The Blue IQ City2City ultra marathon is an initiative sponsored by Blue IQ in an effort to highlight the synergy that can exist between healthy citizens and a healthy economy. Blue IQ has the mandate of identifying projects and activities that have the potential to grow the Gauteng economy.Part of this mandate is to investigate interventions within the sports tourism arena. This ultra marathon is such an intervention.
